Computing Technology Industry Association – Training Course
If you want to be trained and acquire basic to advance knowledge and skills about COMPTIA (Computing Technology Industry Association) with full coverage on computer technology fundamentals, security elements, networking, peripheral, and hardware identification skills. Along with the mentioned areas of training for this course, you will also be taught the process of installation, configuration, upgrading method, workstation maintenance of your personal computers, networks for your small office and home office, and Windows operating system.
With this training course, students will be skillful on security practices implementation, resolution of issues on network connectivity, operating systems, and personal computer with the use of efficient and effective tools and techniques on troubleshooting which is included with the 40-hour training sessions.
The training sessions will be conducted by a licensed and recognized CNCTC, Inc. instructors and held on well established classroom and laboratory facilities with activities focusing on minds-on and hands-on base structure.
The main course comprises of 6 parts starting with Hardware as the first topic, followed by subtopics beginning which tackles about how to categorize storage devices and backup media; explain motherboard components, types and features; classify power supplies types and characteristics; purpose and characteristics of CPUs and their features explanation; explain cooling methods and devices; compare and contrast memory types, characteristics and their purpose; distinguish between the different display devices and their characteristics; install and configure peripherals and input devices; summarize the function and types of adapter cards; install, configure and optimize laptop components and features; and install and configure printers.
The second part is about Troubleshooting, Repair and Maintenance that starts with explaining the troubleshooting theory; explanation and interpretation of common hardware and operating system symptoms and their causes; determine the troubleshooting methods and tolls for printers; laptop issues commonly encountered and determine the appropriate basic troubleshooting method explanation and interpretation; and integrate common preventative maintenance techniques.
The third part is regarding Operating Systems and Software beginning with compare and contrast the different Windows Operating Systems and their features; demonstrate proper use of user interfaces; explain the process and steps to install and configure the Windows Operating System; and explain the basics of boot sequences, methods and startup utilities.
The fourth one is about Networking that has 3 subtopics, namely, summarize the basics of networking fundamentals, including technologies, devices and protocols; categorize network cables and connectors and their implementations; and compare and contrast the different network types.
The fifth training session is about Security which is covered in two subtopics. The first one is regarding how to explain the basic principles of security concepts and technologies, and summarize security features follows after that.
The sixth topic would be about Operational Procedure that will be expounded in two sections. The first one is about appropriate safety and environmental procedures outline; and second would be professionalism and the appropriate use of communication skills in the workplace.
