The key values and trends in your data are revealed by the 2011 Excel ‘s formatting conditionally which has bigger improvement. Before, you really have to work thoroughly hard to get the most of the features you want from the previous Excel versions. But now with the dawning of the whole new 2011 Excel, you can expect additional formats conditionally pre-defined by just a mouse click away.

You may choose the range of data you are about to analyze, and then select Format>Conditional Formatting when you start the program. In adding a new rule for the chosen range, you may press the plus sign located at the bottom upon the appearance of the window for Manage Rules which will open the window where you do rule defining called New Formatting Rule.

Now, to select the formatting type you like to apply, you may use the pop-up for Style. The comparison of values on your specified conditions will be based on color accordingly for the options like 3-color and 2-color scales, respectively. Behind each value of cells, the Data Bar draws a small bar graph.

Based on the conditions you set the icon for Sets insert coins into cells. With the new 2011 Excel, the dots colored will make it visible which parts are unlikely and which are likely, and to show percentiles versus performance, simply add a four-level icon set when you are using a spreadsheet data.

With the whole new 2011 Excel, all the information you’ll be sharing to others will be more useful, and your job will be easier because of its new features which you cannot find from any of the older Excel versions. Now, creating easier to interpret and easier to read worksheets will make history because of the new 2011 Excel’s feature for formatting conditionally, Cell Styles, Themes, and Sparklines.
