Everyone tighten their belts due to the economic crisis that we are experiencing.  At present, most of us are contented of watching movies at home instead of going to cinema places.  We say that it is more convenient and practical.

Today we have a lot of P2P downloader which I discussed in my previous articles.  This software allows us to download any file like music and video files over the Internet.  There are some who prefer this method instead of buying their own CD.  Also, there are few who continue to purchase their own CD to avoid piracy.

We all know that most of the household nowadays have their own computer unit.  There are some who prefer to have computer than a DVD player.  They find it more convenient to have a computer to play their music or video files.

Have you experienced playing a video file in your own computer or laptop?  How do you find it?  Were you able to watch it smoothly or do you encounter some technical problems?  The worst you might not be able to play it at all.

In this article I will be sharing with you the convenience that I experience every time I watch video in my laptop.  I will enumerate the benefits I get from the player I am using.

Before I tried to use different video player but most of the time I encountered some technical problems like worst lyp sync and the worst it cannot play the video file.  It always looks for codec.

Finally, I tried to use Media Player Classic Home Theatre to play my videos.  Folks, let me say this Media Player Classic Home Theatre is one of the simplest software application from Microsoft but can performs excellently.

Can you imagine an old version of Media Player?  The one with no skin, excellent icons and style interface, what you can get is a simple blank environment with basic buttons like play, stop, rewind and forward.

Regardless of it’s simplicity, Media Player Classic Home is proficient in playing large number of video and even audio files without the need to download for codecs.  It supports MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and MPEG-4, VCD, SVCD and DVD.  In addition it has built-in codecs like LPCM, MP2, AC3 and DTS audio along with H.264 and VC-1 with DXVA support, DivX, Xvid, and Flash Video formats. Above all Media Player Classic Home Theatre can support Quicktime and Realtime formats, but you need to install additional software.

Listed below are the features of Media Player Classic Home:

It offers anti-tearing option which is very visible in almost all pictures and most of the time it is annoying.

You can select your own language for subtitles or language translations

EVR support

Support almost all video and audio formats.  No need to download additional codecs.

It offers better support for Windows Vista

It has Pixel shader to convert BT601 - BT701

The good thing about Media Player Classic Home Theatre is that even though it has a simple environment it can provide high quality audio and video play streaming.  Most of all, if you are using Windows Operating system you can download this software for free.

Enjoy watching movie on your own computer.
