What do you think is the buzzword in IT industry? Certification! Yes it is! You can hear about Cisco Certified Network Professional CCNP, Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert CCIE, Cisco Certified Security Professional CCSP and Cisco Certified Network Associate CCNA, MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) MCSA (Microsoft Certified System Administrator) MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer) and the new MCITP(Microsoft Certified IT Professional /MCTS Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, PMP (Project Management Professional) or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).

These are the hottest certifications which make computer engineers rush into getting one or two. Why? We can’t deny the fact that certification becomes the most powerful weapon for a professional development or even IT specialists all over the world. Nevertheless, they attempt to take the risk of their money; time and effort. At long last they get **** when they don’t get the desired result because this is not as easy as pie. There might be wrong notions about some requirements as well as their views about certification.

Evidently, many IT candidates are too harried to get at least one of the computer certification because they know how it benefits them. However, these people have no idea what certification they choose. Some have just picked even though it doesn’t match their background and knowledge or simply choose what is available?  Let say, he enjoys clicking his mouse or simply we call him mouse-addict. He loves computer but the question is that what aspect he is into?

What is his objective or reason of choosing a certain certification? Is he just going to take because his job requires a respective certification? Or is it a stepping stone for future career? The necessity of certifications varies from the need of individual in addition to his base skills and specialization. He should bear in mind that what he chooses determines his long-term career path not just only because he might be called certification-holder.
