This program is free though it has a limited number of licenses that you can use and you can buy additional license if you want. The said program will really make your monitoring easier than ever.

PRTG is certainly the best program I’ve seen while searching the net for a monitoring tool for our network. This program is capable of monitoring the bandwidth of each computer connected to the network. It also has the feature called “auto-discovery group” which automatically scans and detects all devices connected to the network. This is one of the best features of the program. You can even manage your network by separating the computers by arranging them by making groups. This program can also automatically detect errors from devices and will flash an alarm to inform you for a possible problem. In this way, you could instantly resolve the problem in no time.

This program also has the feature to ping the workstations to determine if the workstation is turned on or not. This program might be complicated at first but after studying the features, it would be easier for you. This could also show graphs regarding the bandwidth being used by a workstation which could help you determine the user that is consuming the highest bandwidth in the network. PRTG can also be monitored using your Itouch or your Iphone which is really impressive. Almost all you need to monitor your network can be found in this program.

Based on my own opinion, this program would be on the top of the list when it comes to network monitoring programs. This program is already an all in one package which can really make your job easier. The free version of this program only has a number of licenses that can be used but with this features, upgrading the license would be worth it.
