Everyday a lot of people are using the viewer feature of Google Docs to view online presentations that uses PowerPoint; Portable Document Format files; and documents which are of Word format. The viewer feature of Google Docs is really a big advantage for those people who are saving time and keeping their hard drives safe from unwanted file cluttering.

At this point, we are going to discuss new types of files supported for Google Docs viewer.

Here are among the new classification of files that Google Docs is supporting – XPS or Paper Specification for eXtensible Markup Language; Encapsulated PostScript or PostScript; Drawing eXchange Format for Autodesk and AutoCad; Adobe Illustrator; PPTX file from 2010 or 2007 versions of PowerPoint; XLSX and XLS file formats of Excel; Pages of Apple; PSD file format for Adobe Photoshop; Scalable Vector Graphics; and TTF file types or TrueType Font.

With this in mind, aside from supporting XLSX, PPT, DOC, PPTX, XLS, and DOCX Microsoft Office file types, Google Docs Viewer also backs up image types, documents that are in demand, and capabilities for quick viewing files. For you to bring up the viewer of Google Docs, you need to click the link View for these attachment types if you are in Google Mail. If you like to view the content with the use of any browser, you may share these files in Google Docs after uploading it. Take note that using an embedded option or Google Chrome in full version makes the viewer feature of Google Docs function very possible for it is available on any browser.

This is truly remarkable and indeed great news for all people who are regularly receiving files of different formats for they no longer have to view those file types using local software compatible with the file they intend to open. Needless to say, with the presence of this kind of option on your Google Mail, you’ll save a lot of time along with preventing your computer to occupy more virtual memory in opening special programs just to view the special file types mentioned.

Now, it will be more convenient for you to open file attachments on your Google e-mails just by clicking View to see the actual file type and overall appearance itself. You no longer need to download the special software for viewing the file type you received on your G-mail. All you have to do is just a simple clicking of the link to view the files that was sent to you. This makes everything easier for all users of Google Mail.
