What is the difference of a pirated software from the original one? There might be someone out there who is still asking for this question. As we all know, pirated softwares are illegal. Most of us wants to save money especially on softwares but is it worth it? You can even acquire a software for a couple of bucks or even free but the big question is, “is it reliable?” I’ve been a technician for a few years already and believe me; pirated reliable softwares are hard to find.

In this article, I’ll be explaining the disadvantages of having a pirated software.

Crashes – Having a pirated software can result to a computer crash. This is one of the most common problems of a pirated one. If you acquired a fake software, you can’t do anything because you cannot call the company to complain. You don’t have the right to because you’re using a fake one.  If you’re using a fake OS, it could result to a system crash of a blue screen. I had some clients that complained about crashes and blue screens. This is normally caused by their edited versions of Windows. The said versions are the one that are not genuine. Even if you have a good cracked version of Windows, you still couldn’t rely on it that much because it is still fake. As a personal experience, I’ve installed a pirated software on my computer and used it for a couple of hours because I need to finish something then suddenly, the software crash and the hours of work wasn’t saved at all.

Updates – If you are worried about the security of your computer, having a pirated OS could give you a difficult time updating. It is because products that are fake normally doesn’t receive updates from websites unless that the cd-key is not yet detected as fake. If you received an update and your computer was detected, this could result to a big problem. It will make things complicated.

Bugs – Some pirated versions contain bugs and could just force you to remove the program. Again, you couldn’t update the program because your version is a fake one. It couldn’t receive any updates.

Most of you might be complaining about the high prices of softwares but if you don’t want to experience any of the said problems, I’ll advice you to go for the genuine one. In this case, you’ll be sure. If you’ll be experiencing problems, you can just call their support.
