It is already confirmed that Windows 10 will already be available for download this coming July 29th. It will be free to download for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users and make sure that you will be downloading it within a year in order to get the free upgrade.

Some of you might ask if would it support your existing hardware or do you need to upgrade certain components in order to upgrade to Windows 10. The answer is, NO, you don't need to update your current hardware because the requirements for Windows 10 are almost identical with Windows 7. Below would be the detailed specifications for both Windows 7 and Windows 10.

Windows 7 requirements

-1 GHz or Faster 32 bit(x86) or 64 bit (x64) processor
-1 GB RAM for 32 bit and 2 GB RAM for 64 bit
-16 GB hard disk space for 32 bit and 20GB for 64 bit
-DirectX 9 Graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

Windows 10 requirements
-1 Ghz or faster processor
-1 GB RAM for 32 bit and 2 GB RAM for 64 bit
-16GB hard disk space
-Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver
-Microsoft account and Internet access.

As I have said, the requirements are identical and... it won't be a problem in upgrading. So basically, if you are already using Windows 7 or 8, I am pretty sure that the hardware requirements won't be an issue but the version of your Windows might be. To make sure, check your Windows version first and compare it with the list of Windows versions that can be upgraded to Windows 10.

On my previous article, I stated that Windows 10 would be free even for pirated users but to clear things out, it would still be free for them but the status of their Windows would still be non-genuine. It actually means that even after the upgrade, your Windows versions would still be pirated.

For that who are not eligible for the said update and is planning to install Windows 10 on their computers, always check the system requirements first before anything else just to make sure that the hardware requirements of your current computer is capable of supporting the said operating system.

Lastly, if you are not eligible for update, you would need to purchase Windows 10 and you would also need to manually install it by yourself.
