Everyone is expecting that the release of Windows 7 will make a vast change for Microsoft products, to redeem the lost of Windows Vista. Windows 7 was designed and created to make Windows XP even better.

Windows 7 was released last July 22, 2009, and was out on market on October 22, 2009 almost three years after the release of Windows Vista. Take a look at the new and improved operating system of the Microsoft.

Better PC Security

Windows 7 offers better security for your computer, information and family. Now, you can easily configure and schedule your data backup to avoid data loss. It comes with improved Bit Locker to put virtual lock on your important files, folders and even USB disk.

If you are a parent, you can protect your kids from playing too much computer games by setting time limits on their usage. Also, you can keep them away from games which are not advisable on their age.

Entertainment

In Windows Media Center you find one place to enjoy your photos and music, watch and record TV, watch Internet TV and DVD, and enjoy online entertainment.

Quick access to all your stuff

Get quick access to all your stuff with the use of Pin and Jump Lists. Now, you can pin programs to the taskbar and files to Jump Lists. It works like pinning notes on a bulletin board. Jump Lists keeps the most recent things you've used for faster access.

Share files and printers with multiple PCs

Windows 7 takes away the problems of sharing files or devices. With a single Windows 7 PC, you can now share your files, and even printers on each of the PCs running Windows 7 on your home network.

Quick Search

Windows search immediately find and open virtually any file, program or email on your PC in a few seconds. In Windows 7, Search is already included in the start menu.

Easy manageability of Open Windows

Snap (resize and arrange) windows by dragging borders to the edge of your screen. Expand your windows in full screen or arrange two windows side by side.

Easy network Connection

You can view and connect to any available wireless network (Wi-Fi, mobile broadband, VPN or dial-up networks) with just three clicks.

Create and share movie easily

Make great movies and slideshows, and share it. Uploading of files even videos in the internet was now made quick and easy.

Sleep and resume

Windows 7 was designed to improve the performance of your PC. One of these is for PC to sleep and resume quickly, and to get back to what you are doing easily.

Software compatibility

If you are more familiar in doing programs in XP rather than Vista, you might be wondering if that program will work with Windows 7, the answer is YES. You can run Windows XP programs in Windows 7 after you download Windows XP Mode.

In general, we can conclude that Windows 7 is much faster, safer and better than its predecessors Vista and XP.
