As we all know, Windows 7 is the latest operating system from Microsoft. As I’ve said in my previous articles, Windows seven is almost like the speed of Xp but the graphics of Vista. So if you’re still using Xp or Vista, you could use these steps if you want to switch to Windows 7.

Before you proceed with the steps, make sure to backup all important files before anything else.

Step 1: Put the DVD in the drive and make sure that your DVD drive boot setting is in first priority.

Step 2: Wait for it to load then press any key to continue with the setup. If you’ll be able to miss the setup, just restart your computer and do it again. Wait for it to load until the setup screen.

Step 3: You are now at the Install windows page. You’ll be asked about the language that you prefer, Time and currency format and the Keyboard or input method. Just select what you want then click next. 

Step 4: On the next page, you’ll see the “Install now” button. Just click it to start the installation.

Step 5: This will be the license term for Windows 7. Just check the “I accept the license terms” then click next.

Step 6: In this page, you’ll be asked which type of installation you want. Just click the custom (advanced) because we’ll be making a fresh install.

Step 7: You will now see the hard disk/s that is connected to your computer. Select the hard disk and click drive options then click format. Note: this will completely erase all contents of the hard disk. Make sure to install it on the right disk. Now, click next. Setup is not starting to install your new Windows 7. Just wait for it to finish, do not interrupt the setup to avoid any problems. If windows restarts on the process don’t panic, it’s normal.

Step 8: After the restart, it will still continue to finish the installation, just wait again until it’s completed. After that, Windows seven might restart again for the last time.

Step 9: After the restart, you will now be asked to provide a password for your account then click next.

Step 10: You will also be asked to enter the product key for activation then click next.

Step 11: If your network is automatically detected, you’ll be asked to select your computers current location. Just select then click next.

Step 12: In this page, you will be asked if you want to create a homegroup. If you want to, a password is given and save it for future reference. Click next.

Step 13: Windows is now loading your desktop. You can now enjoy the power of Windows 7.

The said steps are the common steps in installing a genuine Windows 7 OS. Make sure to use a genuine version to avoid having problems.
