By setting a password for your printer, you can be sure that protection will be on hand and no printing jobs will be complete without the use of the right parameters to open it. You can do this by using Printlock by Amanda Group, a commercial programming to protect your printer. This program works by a prompt asking for a password whenever a printer receives a document from any printer interconnected with your personal computer. You may use any browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.); then download Printlock software from its official website; you can quickly install Printlock on the machine connected to the printer you like to protect by using a password; you may use a password that is easy for you to remember when you are instructed by the system; and the best thing with this program, no one can ever use your printer unless you authorized them and a correct password is given after prompted by a dialog box.

Through using a program like Printlock, you can prevent other people or strangers to use your printer without using the right password and username that only you know which this software requires because Windows itself does not have a printer password protection program such as this to protect your printer.
